Basic bREWING
Water & cocoa husks
Pour 200 ml hot water over 1 tbsp of cocoa husks (+/- 7g) in a tea sieve/filter
Steep for 5 minutes
Or longer, if you want a stronger taste
Strain & enjoy
Remove the cocoa husks from the cup and enjoy!
MAKE CHUKWA YOUR OWN
— Add (plant-based) milk (frothed, hot, cold)
— Add sweetener to enhance the chocolate flavours
— Drink it cold
— Mix with tonic and ice
— Use a coffee filter (like V60 or Chemex)
— Steep in water or in (plant-based) milk
— Use a moka pot (like a Bialetti)
(Our current favourite: use a moka and add frothed oat milk plus coconut sugar)
